Company History
Intellectual property created at the University of Oregon ranges from research tools to identifiers (trademarks) and from software to copyrighted content and images. Innovation Partnership Services at UO uses a variety of methods to manage the intellectual property developed at UO in support of our researchers, educators, and innovators goals.
We work with UO innovators to identify the needs and goals of the project in order to determine the best method for managing, developing, and distributing the intellectual property associated with the project.
We provide expertise and support in managing intellectual property through confidentiality (non-disclosure), data use, or material transfer agreements to safeguard proper use and attribution and ensure that obligations to sponsors and innovators are met.
We also assist UO innovators in navigating and meeting federal and state compliance obligations and other applicable laws and regulations.
